The IIA are holding their national congress on Thursday 21 May.. The slant is Better Business Online .. Money, Marketing, Monitoring & Mobile.

Speakers include Facebook - speaking at the largest Internet industry event in Ireland to date - Google, dotMobi and Realex Payments. Id be up for going to Ronan Harris's (Google) talk on Analytics and Conversion tracking. Colm Long from Facebook is another one to watch out for.

11.40am - Ronan Harris - Online Sales & Operations Director, Google, will examine the role Analytics and Conversion Tracking plays in getting far better results online.

As Director of Online Sales and Operations, Ronan drives Google's online sales and account management for advertisers across EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
Ronan began his career by earning a degree in electronic engineering at University College Dublin, from where he was recruited by Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation to work at their Information Storage Products division in Japan. He went on to spend 9 years in Japan working in consulting and technology, and returned to Ireland in 2001 to work in private equity before joining Google.

12.20pm - Colm Long - Director of Online Operations, Facebook, will detail how Irish businesses can use Facebooks platform to connect with new customers and maximize their return on investment in online advertising.

Colm joined Facebook as Director of Online Operations in January 2009, leading online operations and sales at its EMEA headquarters, which has just opened in Dublin.Previously, Colm worked in senior positions at Barclaycard International and French online stockbroker, Self Trade. A native of Derry, Northern Ireland, Colm earned a bachelor's degree in Applied Linguistics from University of Brighton.
